UPCOMING EVENT!

Our upcoming project is a Pulitzer Prize winner for fiction  ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee. Written in 1961, during the Great Depression, it highlights the racial tension in that era. Adapted by Christopher Sergel, this is the first time that the play shall be performed in India. To recreate the fictional town of Maycomb Alabama, a magnum opus set design is created with the help of an award-winning architect to elucidate the fine details, architecture, and socio-economic background of the period in which it is set. The play is set to stage at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, on the 28th of October. The compelling characters and poignant themes shall come to life through the powerful dialogue and evocative scenes. The play tackles issues of racism and injustice, inviting audiences to reflect on the complexities of society and the significance of fighting for equality. “To Kill a Mockingbird” is a seminal work of American literature that continues to resonate with readers and theatre-goers alike, reminding us of the importance of empathy, understanding, and the pursuit of justice in an imperfect world.
